USA/AZ: Lower Antelope Canyon
The Lower Antelope Canyon is quite different from the Upper one – it’s much deeper and more open inside. There is no climbing ladders or squeezing though narrow spots here, but the sandstone wonderland scenery above your head is equally, if not more, spectacular. Most of the famous canyon pictures and TV commercials have been shot here. Depending on the time of the day and season, rays of sunlights penetrate the canyon, creating the spectacular and mysterious sunlit sandstone fairyland. I wouldn’t say Lower is more spectacular but it’s definitely different and more atmospheric so it’s an absolute must to visit both canyons.
