USA/KS: Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve

Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve is a little portion that remains of what the Great grasslands of America used to look like before. Only about 4% remains in Kansas and Oklahoma from what once used to be the endless grasslands prairie of 170 million acres across the North America, with hundreds of thousands of roaming bisons. Most was transformed into farmland. The preserve keeps this small portion as it used to be – with grasses rising tall to horizon and bisons still walking around (although in much smaller number). Most people pass it by, but this is quite possibly a future national park in the USA. A similar preserve in Oklahoma is a bit smaller but has more bisons.
