USA/ND: Theodore Roosevelt NP/South Unit – Prairiedog Towns

The south unit of the Theodore Roosevelt National Park has half a dozen of massive prairie dog colonies – underground cities of these furry rodents that spread for miles around the flat areas of the badlands. One can watch these little guys for hours, barking and squeaking. You can also walk around their town and sometimes they get close to you, although there is a problem with flees. And some of the flees carry bubonic plague.
