USA/OR: Mount Hood

Mount Hood is an almost perfect stratovolcano that can be seen from far in northern Oregon. Clad in snow and glacier, it’s truly spectacular. It is one of the most likely volcanoes on the west coast to erupt, 4-7% chance over the next 25-30 years. The mountain offers all-year-round skiing and a historic grand lodge is located at its foothills, Timberline Lodge, built in 1936.
