USA/ND: Chief Joseph Scenic Byway
Another spectacular Wyoming road is Chief Joseph Scenic Byway aka Wyoming Highway 296. It climbs gradually to a high mph rain pass – Dead Indian Pass – in the spectacular range west of Yellowstone caldera, before descending down to the northeastern entrance of the Yellowstone National Park. Spectacular mountain vistas, wildflowers, panoramas, and dense forests as you twist and turn on tight road switchbacks.
