USA/NV: Ely

Ely is the largest town in northern Nevada, which is not to say it’s not in the middle of nowhere – if you drew a circle of 150 miles around it, you would find no gas stations. The town saw its booming times in early 1900s with the copper mining – replete with copper barons, saloons, motels, and bars of the Wild Wild West. The historic central street still has remnants of old glory, although the saloons now stand side by side with taco shops and Chinese restaurants.
