USA/TX: Big Bend National Park

Big Bend National Park is one of the largest American national parks and covers a large swath of the territory along the Mexican border. There are three distinct ecosystems here – the Rio Grande River valley, the Chihuahuan Desert, and the Chisos Mountains. You can spend weeks here – hiking, floating down the river, climbing mountains. The Window trail in the Chisos mountains is particularly spectacular as is the hike deep into the Santa Elena Canyon.
