Wales: Beumaris Castle

Beaumaris Castle is yet another spectacular medieval castle of Wales, this one located on an island of Anglesey. The castle was built in 1295 by Edward I and is super picturesque (not to mention superbly defensive). Round tower and walls are 16.5 feet thick! And then a circular moat surrounds all this with white swans and tiny grey baby-swans swimming around. Beaumaris is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
