Zimbabwe: Zimbabwe Food Recap

Staying in safari lodges, you mostly get served traditional British-influenced western food, deliciously prepared, from the classic British breakfast to awesome steaks. In Mana, the lodge treated us to a special night of local Zimbabwean food (we were the only people at the camp), and it was super awesome and authentic – from traditional sadza (maize porridge) to braai (fire roasted chicken and meats) to mopane worms (roasted caterpillars of moth that eats the mopane trees). At Lale Karibe, we tried some crazy stuff – like the eggs of wild guineafowl and the roasted flying ants (as well as raw). Finally Victoria Falls Hotel offered superb old school British dishes, while the local restaurant in town treated us to kudu and spicy chicken.c!
