Chile: Torres del Paine NP – Wildflowers
Torres del Paine National Park doesn’t have much in terms of wildlife, but the flora is spectacular. Chilean firetree framed against the glaciers and mountains looks picturesque. There are seven species of orchids documented in the park, and miraculously, I was able to spot three of them – Yellow Lady Slipper (Calceolaria uniflora), Yellow Orchid (Gavilea Kingii), and simply surreal Porcelain Orchid (Chloraea magellanica). The latter is worthy of a separate post!
