New Zealand: Mt Cook NP – Tasman Glacier Walk
Tasman Glacier is the largest and longest glacier in New Zealand flowing from the Southern Alps, it’s over 23 km / 14 mi long. It’s nearly 4 km /2.5 mi wide and 600 m /2000 ft thick. A hiking trail leads along the classier on a ridge on one of its sides and offers spectacular panorama of the glacial moraine and its snout.
