New Zealand: Slope Point

Slope Point is the southernmost point of New Zealand. Being so exposed, the winds here are almost permanently gale-force and no building can survive. The trees are bent in the direction of the wind, and the green windy pastures are covered with white sheep. There is a sign showing the distance to equator and south pole.
