USA/Alaska: Denali NP – Hiking Around Wonderlake

The only trail in the Wonder Lake area is a 2.5 mi track called McKinley River Bar Trail that goes from the Wonder Lake Campground to the McKinley River. If you can withstand the mosquito swarms, the trail offers spectacular views of Mount McKinley in not-so-far distance, and many lakes are good spots to see moose and waterfowl. The highlight of the hike is the Reflection Pond that in good clear conditions offers stunning reflections of the mountain panorama.
