Zambia/Zimbabwe/Botswana: Kazungula 4-Country Border Crossing

A little known fact, but there is a four-way border crossing over the Zambezi River where four African countries come together at a rare quadripoint – Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Namibia. Zambezi River is joined by Chobe River here creating a river mess – Zambezi serves as a border between Zimbabwe and Zambia, while Chobe River divides Botswana and Namibia. Add various border check points – and it becomes insane! Kazungula has one of the largest ferry services in Africa in terms of freight volume, albeit it’s only 400m of a crossing. Kazungula bridge is under construction – theoretically – but doesn’t look like anything happening soon.
