USA/Alaska: North Pole – Santa Claus House
If you’d ever written a letter to Santa Claus at the North Pole, it actually arrived here in the town of North Pole south of Fairbanks where the Santa Claus House proudly stands at the address 1 Santa Claus Lane, North Pole, AK 99705. No kidding! The entire town has Christmas-themed street names and signs. The Santa’s house is basically a giant Christmas store where you can shop for anything-Christmas related in the middle of July. You can also have a coffee from the North Pole Coffee Roastery. The giant statue is Santa outside is supposedly world’s largest. And just next daw is the Reindeer Flight School. Overall – a fantastic idea to extract tourist money despite the fact that you are not even north of the arctic circle, and nearly 1500 miles from the true North Pole.
