Norway: Kristiansand
Kristiansand is the gateway to Europe for Norway as many ferries from Denmark come here after a 3-4 North Sea crossing. The town is one of the oldest in Norway with old wooden houses in the historic center and a neo-Gothic massive cathedral, as well as many historic century old building in the mostly pedestrian heart of the city. In 1996, a well -preserves skeleton of a prehistoric woman from 6500BC was found in the outskirts of Kristiansand, which points to this being an inhabited area since the daw of times.
