And the last and final post from Russia – Russian food recap. Going deeper and away from Moscow, the food became more authentic and more focused on incredible taste rather then presentation. Heavy on calories, loaded with meat, accompanied by vodka and other alcohol shorts and marinated mushrooms, vegetables, and other good stuff – a piggout worthy of a tzar. The best restaurant was in Nizhniy Novgorod where I got to try thinks like pile caviar, bear sausage, veal kidneys, and white milkcap mushrooms – true Russian specialties.
