Socotra: Dihamri Marine Reserve – Snorkeling
And underneath the waterline was a total paradise of a pristine coral reef with myriads of tropical fish, whole schools of them swimming around you. The sheer variety of species – from angelfish to triggerfish to puffers to red grouper to parrotfish to butterflyfish you cardinalfish. But the most numerous were the blue surgeonfish, you could literally swim into the middle of them and they wouldn’t even bother moving away. Even bigger groupers and trevally swam by. And the coral variety was equally staggering – braincorals, various blue and yellow corals, and even the Christian tree worms!
