USA/WY: Grand Teton National Park
South of Yellowstone lies the spectacular Grand Teton National Park where the sharp peaks of the Teton Range rise steeply from the flatlands. Truly spectacular panorama! At 13,775 feet (4,199 m), Grand Teton abruptly rises more than 7,000 feet (2,100 m) above Jackson Hole, almost 850 feet (260 m) higher than Mount Owens, the second-highest summit in the range. The entire range is fronted by a series of beautiful lakes and a winding road leads to great overlooks and hikes with lakes and meadows in the foreground and the snow-covered peaks in the background.
