Turkey: Mardin – Exploring the City at Night
Can’t get enough of Mardin – a spectacular ancient/medieval. At night, the streets are lit with dull light and the shadows fill narrow passageways and alleys. The mosque minarets shone bright yellow and the authentic restaurants lure with an array of authentic food thy is as unique and diverse as the people living in the desert city. And absolutely worth mentioning are the boutique hotels – we stayed at an absolutely stunning stone place hotel that is part of the maze of the ancient city steep streets, the hotel is over 700 years old (let this number sink in!).
