Morocco: Rabat – Qoudais Kasbah
Qoudais Kasbah is a castle in the heart of Rabat built in the 12th century by Qoubais sultan of the Almohad dynasty. The walls protect the town within it, sitting on a high hill overlooking the plains below as well as the Atlantic Ocean. Built in traditional Islamic architecture – fat towers and thick walls look very impenetrable, and the town inside has narrow cobblestone streets and blue-colored buildings that you immediately get lost in. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
