Panama: Panamanian Food Recap
Panamanian cuisine is a mix of Caribbean, South American, and indigenous Indian dishes – lots of seafood, plantains, yuca, rice, beef and pork. Ceviche is omnipresent – fish, mixed, shellfish, octopus, or Peruvian style. Free-range Panamanian beef is juicy and the steaks are to die for. A good selection of beers and many artisanal breweries. The range of restaurants is also massive – from simple stop by the road where you get a whole fish fried with rice or upscale joints with elevators preparations and concoctions.
