Iceland: Eastfjords Landscapes
East Iceland is one of the least populated parts of the country and only 3.2% of people live here. It’s a very rugged and inaccessible land, cut with over a dozen fjords and high mountains and steep cliffs rising precipitously from the ocean shore. The winding full-day drive through fjords is one of the best road experiences in Iceland, with utterly stupendous views on every turn. There are amazing wildflower meadows and literally thousands of cascading waterfalls area. And you try searching for the elusive herds of reindeer here!
