Switzerland: Lugano
Enetering from Italy, the first twin you arrive into in Switzerland is Lugano, the capital of the Ticino region. Situated on the shores of Lake Lugano, the city is super picturesque, surrounds the by green mountains and panoramic views. A promenade follows the entire shoreline of the lake. The most important cultural attraction in the city is Santa Maria degli Angioli Church with a full wall covered by a single 30m by 12m fresco, the 16th-century masterpiece by Bernardino Luini depicting the Passion and Crucifixion. Up from the lake lies the old town with steep staircases.
