Austria: Swarovski Kristallwelten aka Crystal World

Swarovski Kristallwelten aka Crystal World is a museum and exhibition space right next to the Swarovski factory, the manufacturer of the world-renown crystal glass, jewelry, and accessories. The museum was built and opened for the 100th anniversary of Swarovski factory in 1995 and consists of an outside landscapes park and 17 “chambers of wonders”, presenting artworks that all incorporate crystals in them. There is the Crystal Cloud with 800k crystals, the world’s largest crystal rock, crystal modeled of largest skyscrapers, Christmas room with real snow and Crystal Christmas ornaments, and tons of crystal encrusted clothing (bras and dresses), and loads of masterpiece-level jewelry and artworks, from beautiful to kitsch.
