Croatia: Osijek – Cathedral of St Peter & St Paul
he most prominent building in the Croatian town of Osijek is the magnificent red Cathedral of Peter & Paul. The bro-gothic church has thin and elegant spires reaching into the sky on the exterior (the main spire is 90m high), while the interior is decorated in beautiful all-covering frescos (your neck will hurt from staring at then) The church was built in in 1898. This is the tallest building in Croatia outside of Zagreb, built from 3.5 million bricks. There are four bells in the spire, weighing staggering 2665 kg, 1552 kg, 740 kg, and 331 kg.
