Gotland: Bro Church
Gotland island is full of medieval church. The first one was the Bro Kirka aka Bro Church, just outside the town with the same name. The stone church, as it stands today, was built in the 13th century and architecturally is a mix of Romanesque and Gothic. The exterior is impressive, but the interior is even more impressive – walls covered with original 13th century baptismal fonts, paintings, crosses, and sculptures. You are likely to have the entire church to yourself.
