Kazakhstan: Over 5000km on Kazakhstan Roads
We drove 5248 in a giant loop through the even more giant country – starting in Almaty, along the southern mountains, central deserts, northern wheat fields, and back to Almaty. Some spectacular road scenery along the way (both landscapes and wildlife): mountain vistas along the Kyrgyz border, then endless desert and caravans at camels roaming around, eventually the camels turn into horses, and deserts turns into wheat fields, then desert shores of Balkhash and mountains again. We saw stunning sunsets, massive full moons rising, and starry skies.
