Saudi Arabia: Al Namas & Al Meger Tourist Village

Another beautiful town in the highlands of the western Saudi Arabia – al Namas – in a spectacular setting high on the mountain plateau with sheer droppoffs and super winding mountain roads descending and ascending to the west. The town itself has a pretty fortress and several mosques, but the real attraction here is the Al Meger Tourist Village – a traditional mountain village on the outskirts of the town with insane panoramic views. It’s still mostly under construction, but the restored traditional architecture is stunning and very colorful, almost Taj Mahal-like. Further south, there a some gray views back onto the town, with plenty of baboons to share it with.
