Colombia: Buga
Moving down south, we arrived into the town of Buga aja Guadalajara de Buga, one of the oldest towns in Colombia, founded in 1555 by Spanish conquistadors. The main attraction here is the spectacular pink stone Basílica Menor Senor de Los Milagros which houses a crucifix that supposedly appeared here in the 16th century from thin air (unlikely, but we didn’t wanna start a religious argument). The cathedral itself dates to 1907 and is considered the religious symbol of Colombia, especially since many “miracles” continue happening here. Also nearby is an interesting lighthouse-like Monumento el Faro.
