In Colombia, you can make a collection of the strangest animal road signs imaginable (almost like in Australia) – caymans, snakes, anteaters, armadillos, jaguars, and many more. Road quality is variable – from new and perfectly paced to absolutely atrocious torture (from Popayan to San Agustin). Divided highways are nearly non-existent and mountainous terrain make the roads twisting and curving and passing is difficult, so prepare to be stuck behind slow moving trucks.
