Guadeloupe: Saint-François

Saint-François is yet another pretty little town along the Guadeloupe coastline, with pristine white sand beaches such as Raisins Clairs and Anse à la Gourde. The town was colonized by the French in the 17th century and named after Saint Francis of Assisi by French settlers. Église Saint-François d’Assise church in the heart of town is the the main attraction, plus the market, and the Mairie building.
