South Korea: Korean Food Recap

Korean food is often associated with Korean bbq and kimchi. And we ate plenty of both in Korea. Kimchi is cabbage fermented for a long time in a mix of red chilli pepper, garlic, ginger and scallion, with no so adorable smell but awesome spicy taste. Korean bbq is a true national tradition with a huge variety of meat cuts selection to be grilled at your table, accompanied by a huge selection of small side dishes. Eating raw seafood at several fish markets was a totally mind-blowing experience. Finally, on the last day in Busan we found a restaurant – all-you-can-eat shellfish – you choose any life shells from aquarium (giant scallops, whelks, clams, and so on) and grill right at your table. And then go for seconds and thirds. Finish all this pigging out with a good glass of korean shoju!
