Guinea-Bissau: Canchango
The town of Canchango is a small farming community with residents mostly involved with cashew trade from the nearby forests. The town is just a dusty street with a nice church and also has access to the various saltwater marshes and bays so fishing is another activity. The vast area is considered a “port” with fishing boats and nets strewn all around. But in the dry season and low tide the waters are far away, leaving only pigs roaming in mangrove mud and eating oysters.
