Gambia: Exploring Gambia River
Gambia River forms a wide delta near its mouth on the Atlantic Ocean. There are a lot of tributaries and tidal flats with mangroves covered with oysters. Fantastic birdwatching – we saw several species of kingfishers, beeeaters, darters, and many more. The boat start from the Lamin Lodge, an abandoned wooden house in the heart of the mangroves and then you cruise along the shores of various tributaries and channels in search of birds and an occasion crocodile
