Mauritania: Zouerat
Zouerat is where the iron ore is mind, kind of like the Wild Wild West of Mauritania. The outskirts of the town are littered with mining equipment, old railroad cars, and a lot of piles of iron ore. The town itself is just one sandy street of single story shop selling camel tacos, prehistoric Mercedes cars roaming the streets, and men walking around wrapped head to toes. Almost everybody living here works in the iron ore mining.
