Vanuatu: Tanna Island – Natanu Village

Tanna Island lies in the southern part of the Vanuatu archipelago and is famous for its constantly active Yasur volcano. We landed at a black sand beach near the village of Natanu in the north of the island – a stunning black sand crescent of a beach, lots of ash particle in the air and clogging your eyes and ears. The villagers came out in droves to welcome us – young and old – as we explored their little fishing village.
