Philippines/Cebu: Carcar – St Catherine Church
The original church in Carcar in central Cebu was built by the Augustinian monks in 1599, although the current structure dates to 1860s. Built of coral stone and wood, the church has lavish interior, elaborately painted ceiling and walls, colorful glass windows, and lots of murals and artwork everywhere.
