Cuba: Santiago de Cuba – Old Belarus Tractor
Want to see some real antiques? Come to Cuba! This must have been the oldest Belarus tractor I have ever seen – likely MTZ-5. one of the earliest models every produced back in 1957-62. Still in working condition and toiling hard in the Cuban agriculture. The driver was kind enough to let us photograph and pose and climb all over it. Over the years, nearly 3 million Belarus tractors have been produced in Belarus, and 500,000 exported to 127 countries, of which Cuba has been and still is one of the larger importers.
