Guinea: Nzerekore – Robusta Coffee Plantations

Guinea, particularly in the forested regions such as Nzerekore, has a modest coffee industry. Guinea primarily produces Robusta coffee, which thrives in its tropical climate – the plants are larger with bigger flowers and much bigger coffee berry yields. Coffee is largely grown by small farmers using traditional methods. As we drove toward Nzerekore, we stopped at a plantation with huge blooming coffee trees underneath massive tropical forest trees.
