Guinea: Nzerekore – Nzerekore Market

Hectic, crowded, loud, but definitely very authentic and colorful – that’s the sprawling market in Nzerekore. Loads of fruits and vegetables, palm oil, chickens (live and dead), weird local food specialties, grilled meat morsels (with flies and without), and music more. Like pretty much everywhere in Guinea, people are not friendly and outright angry, you will get yelled for taking pictures in most cases, but occasionally you strike gold and people smile and pose for shots.
