Sweden: Stockholm – revisiting Royal Palace & Parliament Building
The Royal Palace occupies the northern part of Gamlastan Old Town in Stockholm, and the Parliament building is right behind it. This is the official residence go the Swedish Royal family, the Royal court is also here. The palace was built in 1727 in the place of the 13th century Tre Kronor fortress which was destroyed in the fire. The palace is a large set of rectangular buildings adorned richly with sculptures and Royal emblems. Guards stand at every entrance.
