Guam: Fort Nuestra Senora de la Soledad
Fort Nuestra Senora de la Soledad is a small fortification build on a promontory by the Spanish in early 19th century to protect their shipping lanes from Acapulco in Mexico to Spain. It has a commanding view of the ocean and the bay and being on a high point – a pretty good position to pound pirates and attackers from all the guns.
