Mauritius: Flying Foxes at sunset

Mauritian flying foxes are giant brown fruit bats that come out at sunset and soar high above the mountains around the highland town of Chamarel and the ocean. Some fly right against the backdrop of the setting sun creating a total Batman image. It’s one of the very few endemic animals on Mauritius.
