Zambia: Royal Zambezi Lodge in Lower Zambezi

Royal Zambezi is a luxury lodge on the banks of the Zambezi River Zambia – a perfect example of classic understated African-themed luxury that is worth splurging on. The thatch-roofed chalets (all unique) are right on the river bank with perfect views of sunrises and elephants and hippos by the dozen (the lodge faces the world famous Manu Pools national park across the river in Zimbabwe so wildlife here is galore). The interior is also classic with antique touches like brass handless and a bathtub in every chalet. The patio outside even has a personal pool – you literally can sit in the pool and an elephant can come to drink from it.
