Somaliland: Exploring Hargeisa

Driving and walking around Hargeisa, you can observe people and life that is quite different from the Western standards and norms – camels in the streets, everyone chewing narcotic khat, goats act as street cleaners, and beauty saloon advertise “Saudi style”. Somaliland doesn’t get any foreign aid, the entire annual budget of this whole country is a mere 260 million dollar (probably less then Trump stiffed the US Treasury with on taxes last year), and yet this nation function and people are proud, happy, and welcoming.
