Sri Lanka: Grey Langur Monkeys
Bundala National Park was the first time where I saw grey langur monkeys (common in the Indian subcontinent). Like baboons in Africa, these old world monkeys are fairly large in size and live in large groups. They are prolific climbers and spend more then half their time in the tree or jumping between them. But it’s their appearance that is the most stunning – light grey in color all over except the pitch black face and massive eyebrows. They look like old men with grey beards, contemplating the meaning of life.
