Puerto Rico: Arecibo National Observatory

Arecibo National Observatory is a large radio telescope 1000 feet / 305 meters in diameter built in the 1960s. All the cosmic research notwithstanding, the large telescope became famous when it was featured in the James Bond Goldeneye in 1995 with all the manic pursuit action happening around here.
