Botswana: Lions Taking down an Elephant at Chobe

And this is what happens only when you are on a self-drive safari. You are driving your 4WD across the savanna landscape of Chobe when you see a dead adolescent elephant lying on the road. You get out of the car to explore and take pictures up close….. when all of a sudden you are face to face with two lionesses with bloody faces and poking full bellies. They stare at you for a minute and decide you are not worth an effort of getting up. Otherwise this could have been the last post ever.
