Bolivia: Laguna Colorada

Laguna Colorada aka Red Lake is the most stunning of the three colorful lakes in the Bolivian antiplano. The red color comes from algae in the water and the lake attracts thousands of flamingos. There are also a lot of borax deposits in and around the lake, that being white in color, contrast nicely with the deep red of the lake.
